Hollywood had only one thing on their mind in Aughrim today and try as they might Dunlavin had no answer to a star studded display by their neighbours. Early goals by Tom Burke (2) and Matt Kelly gave them a start that even the most ardent Hollywood supporter would not have scripted in their wildest dreams. Dunlavin fought back well and got to within 4 points again but further goals from Burke again (completing his hat trick) and a fine Peadar Traynor finish gave the ‘Wood breathing space. They got to afford some of their great servants standing ovations from their followers near the end with the gong in the bag. It was left for Conor Burke to make the walk to the stand to receive the cup from Vice Chairman Martin Fitzgerald and that great servant to club and county Lucy Mooney. Centre back Mikie Healy got the Oscar for best performance in a leading role but the supporting cast were class and will all rightfully get their name in lights up west for weeks and months to come.
