Three Wicklow teams have qualified for the finals of the Leinster GAA Cross County Leagues Finals this Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th of March in the GAA National Games Development Centre in Abbottstown. This new centre for learning & development in the GAA will be a fitting venue for the games.
This was the first year of these competitions organised by Leinster and offered clubs some early season games all around Leinster. Although there was some teething problems at the beginning with teams withdrawing, the feedback from those involved regarding the relationships built and games played has been very positive. Hopefully next year even more teams will be involved and Leinster GAA will be able provide even more variety for clubs and players.
St Kevins have qualified for the under 15 football final where they will face Raheens of Kildare and Kilcoole will play Kildalkey of Meath in the under 13 hurling final of their section. Both these games take place on Saturday.
Eire Óg will face Naas on Sunday in there under 13 football final. We wish all three the very best of luck.
