Indoor Hurling/Camoige Finals

The Camoige Indoor finals were held in Aughrim Community Centre this week. The competition was run on  a league basis with the top team from the group qualifying for the final. The teams that finished 2nd and 3rd then played in the Semi- Final. St Killians Community  College Ballywaltrim Bray topped the group  with  Scoil Chonglas Baltinglass and the girls from Arklow Community College playing in the Semi-Final.  The Baltinglas  girls eased into the final winning 5-2. The final proved to be the best game of the day with the St Killians team scoring in the very  last minute to claim the trophy  winning 2-1.
The Post Primary Schools First years Indoor Hurling final was played in the Aughrim Community Centre this week. The competition which was run on a league basis saw the top two schools qualifying for the final. Arklow Community College under the guidance of Mr Fleming qualified for the final after defeating St Killians Community College Bray in there last game while Avondale Community College also reached the final when they defeated Arklow C.B.S.
The final was a real cracker with both schools teams giving it their all. Avondale Community College came out on top with a winning margin of 2 goals and on the day had Evan Byrne, Zac Cullen, and John Toomey  to thank for their skillful determined play. After the Final Avondale Community College captain Evan Byrne was presented with the winning trophy.
