Leinster Post Primary Schools SF “A” Rd 2 Draw

Source: Leinster GAA

The draw for Round Two of the Leinster PP Schools Senior Football A championship took place last night with Knockbeg College versus St Mary’s Edenderry looking to be the pick of the bunch.

That may be the potential highlight but there will be lots of action on Saturday February 1st to keep everyone entertained. There must be a fear for some of those who were idle at the weekend that they would be caught cold. The goals flew in last week with Ardscoil na Trionoide Athy, like Kildare seniors in the O’Byrne Cup, going goal crazy hitting six. St Joseph’s Rochfortbridge have been warned!

St Mel’s Longford hit three goals in the opening ten minutes the last day in their win over Salesian’s Celbridge while Marist Athlone recorded a good win over Maynooth PP. Colaiste Eoin and Castleknock CC can expect a strong challenge from the midland schools.

Elsewhere Patrician Newbridge and Good Counsel should serve up some fine football while Moate CS face last year’s champs St Pat’s Navan and St Peter’s Wexford face Colaiste Mhuire Mullingar. Wicklow Schools were an unknown quantity until Friday last but now Athlone CC know to expect a serious outfit as the combined team saw off Dundalk Schools.
