Senior Team :It’s an old cliche but all roads will indeed lead to Aughrim on Sunday for the Senior Football Championship Final v’s Baltinglass. Its been a long hard road for this team but they have never given up. With a mixture of some old veterans who’ve seen it and done it all and some new bloods appearing in their first final. The squad has been whittled away of the softwood to reveal the heartwood of men willing to give Rathnew their all. This team has produced some of the best football of the championship at times this year. However we need to be at our very best and to do it for a full hour. Baltinglass are deserved favourites as they have been the most consistent team over the past 2 years. They feel they should have had it last year so they will take some stopping. So hope to see great support for the lads up in Aughrim.

Thanks to all the usual gang who dressed up the Village with bunting and flags last week. Big thanks to Peter Byrne and Toolfast for sponsoring new flags and bunting. Thanks also to Gene Sullivan in supplying the loader. The place looks great lads and girls well done.
