Wicklow enter 2 teams in Leinster Camogie U15 Participation Day

Wicklow had 2 teams in the Leinster U15 Camogie Participation Day held in Clonad GAA Grounds in Co Laois recently.

Many of the girls involved were new to inter county activity and found the experience very beneficial as they look forward to 2014 at Under 16 level. Both teams played Westmeath and Laois and the highlight of the day was the Wicklow Yellows v. Wicklow Blues! This match was very keenly contested as is evident from the final scoreline of WW Yellows 1-3 WW Blues 2-0.

Playing for the Blues: Amber Cleary, Fianna O’Reilly, Shauna Kelly, Niamh Murphy, Emma Davis, Anne Marie Doyle, Bridin Hughes, Laura O’Keeffe, Emma Coleman, Robyn Rooney, Grace O’Sullivan, Leanne Hannon, Lauren O’Byrne, Emily Keenan, Mary Kate Condren.

Playing for the Yellows: Marie Lawless, Sinead Roche, Sinead Keogh, Maria Byrne, Emer Rose Kealy, Megan Kennedy, Tanya Carter, Kellie Gilbert, Eabha Barnes, Aisling Moylan, Anna Hedderman, Anneliese Dunne, Kasey Doyle, Ella Doran and Casey Kelly.

These girls come from Clubs in Carnew, Kilcoole, Aughrim, Avoca, Bray Emmets, Annacurra, Kiltegan, Glenealy, Ballinacor, Knockananna and Avondale.

Congratulations to all the girls and the Clubs who have coached them to this stage and encouraged them to play for their County.

The girls now concentrate on their Schools Camogie in Wicklow and Leinster Competitions and will re-group in the new year – Good Luck to all.
